The ground, first and second floors were completely refurbished, including all new mechanical & electrical services, loose furniture and fittings, AV equipment and security equipment to AIB specification. The refurbishment also included fit-out of the main toilets; lift lobbies and stairwells to the third and fourth floors and basic M&E installations to the third, fourth and fifth floors for future tenants to fit out. Electro Automation installed the Speed Lane Turnstiles which is critical for staff to gain access to the building.
The speed lane turnstile is an efficient speed gate that utilises swing paddles (gates) as its control barrier. These glass paddles are locked in the closed position, but quickly swing open in the direction of travel to allow access or egress.
Allowing the neat installation of access control readers hidden within the top panel, the speed lane turnstile is one of the most popular and cost effective means to create a control point. The LED lighting shows red and green to show the passage status.
This turnstile combines the highest safety along with high traffic flows (up to 30 persons per minute) in an attractive modern cabinet. The transparent glass side panels reduce the visual impact of the turnstile and lane widths can be 550mm to 900mm.
