Waste Management
Waste Food Recycling
With the increase in landfill charges brought about by the landfill
directive and the ever increasing landfill tax, it makes sense to look for
alternative outlets away from the established traditional methods of waste
disposal. The land-filling of food waste containing uncooked meat and fish is
no longer allowed - it must be pre-treated.
If wet heavy food waste can be removed from the waste disposal process it
would mean that other previously contaminated waste streams could be recycled.
The pressure upon Local Authorities to divert bio-degradable waste away from
landfill is immense due to targets set by EU regulations.
Our aim is to provide customers with an alternative to disposal, no more
smelly food bins lying around, no more relying on others for pick ups, Ceres
will be able to treat food waste on site to European standards, thus providing
a safe, clean, transport free, consistent process option which recycles 100%
of waste food input.

EU Legislation

In response to the growing amount of waste being produced by companies and
growing public awareness of the environmental impact of waste, a number of
changes in legislation have been introduced.
Organisations are now being made directly accountable for the waste they
produce. The effective management of waste in accordance with legislation is
now vital for both small companies and multinational organisations..
