What is an Intercom?

car parking intercom system general description
Intercom systems integrated into car park barriers, car parking payment systems, elevators or emergency call points in the car park typically consist of an end-users unit made up of a combination of call-button, microphone, and speaker. Advanced units may have additional integrated features such as video cameras, digital keypads, card-readers and small video screens.

car park users press a call button and the user can then talk directly with  a car park attendant or security officer.

At the car parking attendants station a barrier release mechanism is provided with similar communication features to the user so that two way communication can be established to resolve user problems and authorise entry or exit to the car park
